Find your footing. Move forward.

Freedom Reins gives people with physical, emotional, mental, or social challenges a real, hands-on path forward — through horses, open land, and a program built to meet every person exactly where they are.

Freedom Reins is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit equine-assisted therapy organization located in the Central Valley.

EQUINE-ASSISTED THERAPY

Where confidence starts and forward begins.

For individuals facing physical, mental, emotional, or social challenges, the right kind of help is hard to find. Freedom Reins offers something different—hands-on, horse-based experiences that help people regulate, build confidence, and move forward. People come in overwhelmed or shut down. They leave with something they haven't felt in a long time: progress.

  • Every participant receives an in-person assessment before their first session. Program placement is determined by ability, confidence, and safety — ensuring each person starts in the right environment and progresses at their own pace. Participants who cannot ride engage through direct horse interaction.
